Great car but some flaws - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By solaraowner - March 23 - 6:43 amI bought this new in 2004. Its reliable and Ive never had any major problems with it, except cosmetically. The paint scratches very easily and the interior plastic panels came loose multiple times and I had to take it to several dealers before they fixed it for good. I wish for the money the car had a more quality interior. Mileage is excellent. The tire pressure monitor is way too sensitive and I wish it told you the pressure- sometimes it goes off it there is too much air in the tire, but you have to check the tires BEFORE adding air for this reason. The snow guard or whatever under the car came loose a few times when other people drove my car and the driver seat can come loose.

One Unsatisfied Customer - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By Patrick Le - August 11 - 2:00 amLearning that the new Solara was a new model and built in America kind of worried me.I said to myself what could go wrong? Its a Toyota and its new. I bought mine at Toyota North Hollywood and after 400 miles on it, there was a problem with the cars allignment.I took it back to the dealer and it took them the whole day to find out that its "toe" went out.Whatever that means.I had to take it back next day early in the morning to have them disassembled the car and fix whatever the problem they stated. The service manager even stated that its a first year model and one should expect problems.

Blind spots - 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
By solara - March 10 - 5:10 pmThe cars rides like a jewel. The worst thing is the roll bar in the rear, one cannot see what is in back of them, and also the rear window is small. The interior design is not very conducive to convenience of using the back seat area for putting packages on the floor temporarily. In fact you could eliminate the back seat area all together. No one can get back there to sit. I would not buy that model car again. I do love the Toyota engineering though, it is great over all.
